When to Expect Us
Caring for trees and shrubs in our tropical climate requires expert knowledge, the right products, and precise timing – factors that change with the seasons, weather and pest migration. Our highly trained technicians stay ahead of these challenges, delivering tailored treatments to keep your landscape healthy, vibrant, and beautiful year-round.
You’ll receive eight scheduled visits throughout the year, spaced approximately every 6 weeks. These regular check-ins ensure early detection of issues, consistent protection, and thriving plants. We’ll make your property stand out without you lifting a finger.
Spring (March–May):
Deep-root fertilization kickstart, pest scouting for emerging insects, disease prevention as growth accelerates—resulting in lush new foliage and stronger roots.
Summer (June–August):
Focus on insect/disease monitoring and targeted treatments (no nitrogen/phosphorus fertilizers during blackout periods), plus stress relief in peak heat/humidity—keeping plants resilient through the rainy season.
Fall (September–November):
Recovery fertilization, broad-spectrum protection against fall pests, cleanup from storm debris—preparing your landscape for cooler months and vibrant color.
Winter (December–February):
Dormant-season inspections, corrective treatments, and light fertilization where allowed—building defenses for the year ahead with minimal disruption.
Helpful Hints
Watering: Most people over water their shrubs. Established shrubs need additional water only during prolonged dry periods during the springtime.
Flowering Shrubs: Frequent pruning of most varieties will greatly reduce the flower production. Pruning azaleas after mid-summer will reduce blooms in the winter. Knowing the blooming cycle and growth habits of each shrub will help you determine when and how to prune.
Flower: Flowers should be planted in groups in separate areas of your beds. Mixing flowers throughout your shrub beds hinders our ability to properly treat the shrubs.
